Film Analysis:Taxi Driver, 1974

A nighttime taxi driver who works in New York City where the perceived decadence and sleaze feeds his urge to violently lash out.

He thinks of the the dirty streets as a representation of society.The blurry vision represents his vision of reality or alternatively it could represent his clouded mind and what he thinks is right and wrong is different to what everyone else thinks is right and wrong.

A close up of the taxi drivers eyes reflects his thoughts which are all over the place.The music is quite and relaxed when showing his eyes but after showing a point of view angle of the taxi driver it turns for the mellow and calm music to loud and drastic which too represents his personality.
