Camera Angles

Here are a variety of shot i might use:
  • Long shot show the whole subject, they show the person as well as the whole area.
  • Extreme long shot is used to show landscape or something really large
  • A full shot show the whole shot
  • A medium shot shows not the complete subject
  • A close up shows only part of the subject
  • An extreme close up shows a very small part of a subject
  • Establishing shot is an shot that shows the setting of the current scene
  • A reaction shot is used to show facial emotion
Here are some angles:
  • A high angle shows how vunerable and weak the person is
  • A low angle shows the persons power
  • An eye level shot shows the camera at the persons eye level
  • A reverse angle shows what the subject is seeing
  • An oblique angle is shot by literally moving the frame
How the camera moves
  • Panning when the camera stays in the same position but turns left or right
  • Tracking when the camera changes it position by moving left or right
  • Elevating  when the camera changes its position by moving up or down
  • Dollying changing the cameras position by moving it forward or backwards
  • Tilting when the camera stays in the sasme place but turns up or down
  • Zooming in/out-even when the camera is stationary it can appear to move
